The new Brit DMR thread brought up flash hiders and I remembered this image and thought that you guys would like it.

I wonder how a real XM177 FH compares - it was something of a suppressor as well.
What length barrels are those in the OP? 11.5"? I've shot a lot of rounds at night with the A2 FH on both carbines and rifles and it was much closer to the Vortex than what is shown for the A2 here.

James, these are from AAC's development team, they're all of (three round?) bursts in a pitch black room. so you are seeing far more than what the human eye will ever pick up but it makes for a better comparison of the hiders capability.

James, I think the photos quote they were tested on 11.5 inch barrels. I use a vortex on my 11.5 inch and 14.5 inch uppers.

I hear the Smith Vortex FH is quite good.
