This picture made me laugh. During my last tour in Iraq I patrolled with an Albanian Commando company in and around Mosul. One day we are out doing the business and some local boys pull up along side us. As in every war zone in history the kids speak your language better than you do theirs. "He man gimme dollar!!" "What's your name Joe? I'm Abdullah." Well I do the typical thing and start to chat with young Abdullah. "Hey JC you like Michael Jackson?" Well I'm thinking the kid has no taste in music but I'll go along with his question. "Yeah Abdullah MJ is cool." "JC you FAGGOT MJ *****s little boys in ass!!!!" Well I busted my gut then and there laughing. I did give him a dollar for that joke.

Last night i cashed my pogey and went to buy a mickey of C.C. at the beer parlour, but my skidoo got stuck in the muskeg on my way back to the duplex. I was trying to deke out a deer, you see. Damn chinook, melted everything. And then a mountie snuck up behind me in a ghost car and gave me an impaired. I was so s.o.l., sitting there dressed only in my Stanfields and a toque at the time. And the mountie, hes all chippy and everything, calling me a "**** disturber" and whatnot. What could i say, except, "Chimo!".

pogey- Employment insurance
mickey- a small bottle of booze
C.C.- Canadian Club Rye
beer parlour- like an ice cream parlour but for Canadians.
skidoo- snowmobile
muskeg- Boggy Swampland
duplex- a single building divided in half
deke- to fool an oppenent through skillfull misdirection
chinook- an unseasonably warm wind that comes over the rockies and onto the plains.
mountie- RCMP
ghost car- unmarked cop car
impaired- a charge of drunk driving
s.o.l.- **** outtta luck
Stanfields- Mens underwear
Chippy- Behaviour that is innapporiatley agressive
**** disturber- A trouble maker or provocator.
Chimo!- the last sound heard before a Canadian falls over.
