View Full Version : Radicalisation not dependent on integration

An as yet unpublished report shows surprisingly that the radicalisation of young Muslims has nothing to do with integration.

A new report from Roskilde and Aarhus Universities gives some surprising insights into the issue of radicalisation – particularly that it has very little, if nothing, to do with integration.

Radicalised young men tend to be well-integrated and able to speak the language of their adopted countries.

“They become radicalised from their own perception of what happens around the world,” says Shahamak Rezaei, Associate Professor at the Institute of Social and Globalisation Affairs at Roskilde University, one of the authors of the report.

Interview with the Professor can be heard in the link:

The problem is this. The West has it's fair share of depressed, mentally ill (sometimes called "emo") people as well. But the difference is that when they commit suicide, they end up just killing themselves. When Muslims get to that stage, they decide for some reason to take as many people with them as possible.

Solution: We need to get Muslims to listen to emo music and wear dark eye liner so that when they get depressed beyond all hope, they simply slit their wrists or overdose on some pills.

Simples.

I just love these reports and findings of social scientists.

As if the deviating "perception" of the world of these radicalised young men is not related to integration. To me, this deviating perception of the world is a sign/factor of failed integration..

Interestingly, not so long ago I read an interview with an imam in the UK. He said, that second or third generation immigrants get conned into 'helping' these countries they originate from. And once they travel there, they get brainwashed into all sorts of madness.

I've actually noticed that with many Malays at my school, it seems popular for a good portion of them to dress in an emo fashion (hairstyle, girl jeans, etc).
What's with that? For us, such a mode of dress is a minority.
