well from wat i know. US Army Special Forces was established in 1961 by JFK along with Naval Special Warfare. But their roots can be traced back to the OSS back in WWII. These guys are seasoned operators. The average age of a Green Beret is around 30 i believe. They train local fighters and fight along side with them. They also conduct recon missions, raids, and counterinsurgency operations. Most of them i believe are stationed in Fort Bragg, NC.

oh yea...John Wayne played one in Green Berets :D

A green beret is a small fuzzy hat...
training includes shaping,(water immersion training) shaving(SERE school) and being worn tightly on the head whilst causing a stupid looking red band to form on the forehead of the wearer, thus leaving it's mark in order to inspire fear and awe in the target audience.

It is also unable to be put effectively with one hand thus tying up vital host nation resources...etc etc etc

why are you always asking about troop strength anyway, Andy??

1st Battalion, 10th SFG (A) is located in Panzer Kaserne, Germany.

Is that just in the one tank shed, or in a whole row of them?
