The Haitians were the first foreign govt who expressed support for our revolution in 1821. Of course we send humanitarian aid to everyone who needs it but this time our moral obligation is far more greater.
With a related search in Greek web pages you can locate the exact places who gather supplies and bank accounts to deposit money.

Since this is an OPEN forum, I'll speak my mind. The liberal minded opinions of Europeans posting here are usually food for thought, but not much thought.
I hate to point out the obvious but Greece is in the midst of a large financial meltdown at the moment. Their credit rating has dropped and the country faces severe cuts in spending if they are to survive this mess since the rest of the EU have said no to any future bailout.
I think people would understand if the amount of aid coming from Greece were less than what some might expect.

I would not worry too much. There is a serious problem but a manageable one. Players of the international banking system try to gain more on the bonds trade. It happened before. I think we needed this crisis in order to start over and take some critical decisions for the future.

Liberal or not, European or not, human compassion is one of the basic aspects that separates us from beasts. Clearly your Avatar is an indication on how you perceive the world around you.
If you haven't got anything to contribute in helping human beings struck by misfortune and instead attack people who try to mobilise some assistance for their fellow man, then that speaks volumes on your quality of character.
Now crawl under a stone.

Jobu one has to help to the extend of his capabilities. How can we call ourselves human if we don't. Everyone can spare some money intended for basic luxuries we enjoy and Haitians don't have. I don't think we are in that bad of a situation and besides Haitians are experiancing something much worse. We have experienced earthquakes here and we know what a terror they are. If we have little to offer and have doubts of extending a helping hand, then we should take a look at Mark 12:41-44.
