Im just wondering if anyone can give me more info on this webbing.

Ask them:

Three Spears Textiles International

17 Belvedere Close, Table View, Western Cape 7441

Was used by the Parabats, before 1994.

Hi, I know that type of design was first used by 32 Bat, then a version was use by the Reces which was/is called a Niemoller after it's designer ( a Rece sniper), an incredibley comfey piece of kit, this was then coppied & changed slightly to yours.

That webbing is based off of a design used by the Recces in the 1980s which as called the niemoller vest and often made out of a green nylon(after Johan Niemoller who had something to do with the production of a large amount of the equipment used by the SA SF and has been in a bit of trouble as late with the current SA government). The Batt. 90 equipment was addopted by the Parabats in the 1990s and consisted of a vest like you show (there are three types, yours is the third, they differ in the color of the reinforcing materal patches and the third variant has two pouches on the sides of the water bottle pouches) a set of chest webbing based off of the "para fox" chest webbing (two types differing in color of the reinforcing patches) and a pack that slightly resembles the US CPF-90. From pictures in the SANDF thread the system is still in use by the Paras. Armscor made the first sets and Three Spears seems to have made some of the later items.

Finaly, the 32Bn version (kind of a bad picture):

A bomverband (field dressing )maybe?

Yes on the one side, on the rece version the other side was for pencil flares & launcher, it has a strap with loops inside.

What a great thread and tx for the pictures! It's not that often that you see sets of SADF webbing gathered together.
