Im sure they are dead serious.
Where there is demand, there is supply.
Although I dont think I would hire anybody, who went through a course like that and didnt have actual experience.

Q: " Wait a minute , WTF ? , how the hell did you ...
A: " Well I got fed up with that stuff so I got myself training for 1250£ over ebay."
Dude 1, " **** m8 ditch him out,"
Dude 2 : "f***kin wanker "
as the dude flies out the door " but I did stay at a holiday inn last nighhhtttttttt..... "

Been following this PSD team guys comments here
http://www.tacticalforums.com/cgi-bin/tacticalubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=51;t=000915
Now I can tell you,I've seen some really funny **** out here,I'm a new guy in this role, but an old hand at Military ****,and there are some coconuts running around Iraq.......and they ain't UK PSD's.
There are also guys who are behaving like they own the whole country, and will even try running other PSD teams off the road, only the other day we had another PSD team tailgate us,I was in the rear vehicle doing my drills when these foking clowns come hammering up behind us,guns out the windows, pointing them at everyone, trying to barge past us,they didn't get past!!!But they made it pretty clear they were not happy.
This guy in this team advertising is probably a chancer, our team is loaded with ex regiment guys who train us hard, but there are chancers both sides of the Atlantic, period.
I'd be interested to hear who he was contracted with, none of the major players.?

Airsofters, wahahahaha
They provide the weapons and ammo`s, 1000 a day, in AIRSOFT rofl
Guess the situation on deployement
(operator, bloody nose and discheveled)
"Boss, boss, I shot and the gun injured me, and it made noise so my ear hurst now, and the magazine is only 30 rounds!!!"
I`ll be always flabergasted by the buisness sense of some :cantbeli:

Using airsoft is not the point. I have checked their site thoroughly and I could not find any screening. They do not ask for past military / law enforcement references at all, anybody could apply for the 3 weeks course before being put in the streets in Iraq and they claim to be professionals... :cantbeli:

I agree - companies like this are going to get people killed and get real professionals a bad name. One cannot attain the level of personal discipline and experience required in 3 weeks.

This guy got slaughtered over at Tactical Forum's by the Mods and other guys on the job as well, and I cannot blame them, some of the comments from his website are pathetic.
Nobody who done this course would even get a sniff in our company,we have a screening process, and also a minimum criteria, the only way it will be waived is through another EP/BG course called "The pheonix Course" run in Hereford by ex Regiment guys, but the problem there is that what we are doing here is 90% Military tactics, and 10% BG work, the new guys such as myself are usually designated drivers for the 1st couple of trips, and even now nearing the end of my 2nd rota I'm only just beggining to act as a vehicle commander(you tend not to notice things when you're focused on the driving.......especially at high speeds). We have a young lad from this programme and he's lacking basic skills,he was also not an Infantryman, and also lacks Operational experience, but is keen, and tries real hard...........too hard.
He made the fatal mistake of bragging, and talking himself up,instead of keeping his mouth shut and listening and looking, and therefore has put a lot of pressure on himself,he's the youngest guy in our team at 24,and the older guys have been questioning the headshed over this,as it's unfair to put this lad right in it,especially the Baghdad location for his first rotation......he's a nice kid......but ****e to "elaborating" and has been caught out a few times telling "porkies".......whether he returns to this team at the end of his rotation is anyones guess.
If there is anyone stupid enough to try this PSDTT's course in the UK,don't for one minute expect to get a contract with the big players, you will not,you are more likely to be given a rifle with 3 mags and asked to provide top cover on a convoy travelling at 20kmp/h from Kuwait to Kirkuk, when you stop at night you "stag on" and have to sleep in a shell scrape!!.......believe me when I say this happens!!
I'm due out of Baghdad in 10 days time, and this trip has been good, lots of range work and training and outlying orientation on the ground, also we're allegedly getting out M4's with CQBR in the 2nd week of August with 12 mags per man,we'll probably keep the AK's in the vehicles as additional firepower.

Quick answer ...........yes I'm going back......we have a years contract just signed.....
as to the wages............a lot.........but I don't want people to start their crap, what I earn is my business....to put it bluntly, but it's more than I could earn in my other job in 8 months......there are those here who have moaned about their taxes being used to fund the work in Iraq........so I'm not going to entertain them.

as stated clearly on the site and amongst the thread, we use training weapons, airsoft. Now before we all start on again about use of firearms on our course, please read the full thread, it's mentioned earlier. this form of weapon is good enough for, according to others, SEAL, DELTA, Rangers and US Police/Feds, it's also used in UK by simular units and law enforcement. Ours is NOT a firearms course -it's a TACTICS course.
Thanks
