Depends if I'm Navy, Army, Air Force, or Marines. Which branch are you in? ;)

its funny how people cant answer a simple qestion.

i would of liked to have been a green beret,
they teach and train other countries how to defend themselves
and i like the unconventional style of fighting they perform.

How about trying out for the SF via the 18X route? More info here (http://usmilitary.about.com/library/milinfo/arjobs/bl18x.htm).

I wanted to be ParaRescue. You get all the "runnin' and gunnin'" training but you're also a certified paramedic. More job satification in saving lives.

(I say this as a career military guy, btw.)

It's funny how some people can't take the time to get all the info they could before answering a question.

Abncougar's obviously asking for suggestions on which route to take. If it turns out that he's already in the Navy, how much help do you think a Green Beret or CCT or whatever suggestion will be? ;)

Go Army SF, at least then you won't be in the Navy if you fail out of SpecOp training, HA!!!!

What year are you? You have a top three list for branches you want yet? Is branching Special Forces a possible goal in your future military career (if you stay w/ the program)? What's your major?

You don't have to make it a career! You're only required to serve 4 years (scholarship), 3 years (non-scholarship), and 6-7 (if you branch Aviation). Note: I may be off on the Aviation. Look at James Earl Jones and Sam Walton, those guys made great careers in the civilian world post-ROTC.

Just my two cents, feel free to PM.

Me: Unit, dunno but attending Ranger School and SERE are some of my personal goals...
