I have a Canon A60 digital camera and its broken. The switch which changes the mode from 'take pictures' to 'view pictures' doesn't work. I can flick it on to either setting but the camera always stays on 'take pictures' mode.

Anyone got any ideas(other than taking the camera apart) or am i going to have to send it back to Canon?

Its about 4-5 months old.

Send it back, they will replace it or fix it.

Yeah, it's prolly still under warranty - if you mess with it, they'll likely not cover any repair. Could just be a dirty switch...but you never know...

The average warranty is upto a year, I know that some Kodak and Canons have 2 year warranty's.

Ok another problem for me to sort out. Will send it off to Canon. Is it too much to ask for something that just works?

Goto the store you bought it from and get them to fix or replace it.
