View Full Version : Who Makes The Woolly Pully Sweater?

I am hunting around for one of the older ribbed woolly pully sweaters.
Brigade Quartermaster in U.S. used to carry them but no longer have them.
The sweater itself is advertised as 100% wool and made in England.
Does anyone know of the maker or company that makes them?
I had one ages ago and it got lost in a move but I do not recall ever seeing a maker's name or company manufacturing info on the label when I had one.
Any clues, anyone?
Thanks.

I can vouch for the LL Bean one. They also make the same sweater that's a partial button-up. I also have a genuine British woolly sweater (navy) and it doesn't seem as heavy to me. Can't beat the LL Bean service and the green sweater is a fantastic color. It has some brownish flecks mixed in.

I agree. I've got the button placard LL Bean sweater and have used it a lot in Afghanistan. Great piece of kit.

Outdoor Knitwear made the Woolly Pullys that were supplied to Brigade QMC in the 80's.
Their site is here: http://www.outdoorknitwear.com/store/category.php?category=17 They just reintroduced a whole line of WP's.
