For those of you who don;t know....

the game does not come looking this good, infact the game is pretty sub-par when you buy it.

in order to get a great lookign game like this you need to have OFP and its expansion, resistance.

You'll also need addons (pictured here are several Ballistics Addon Studios addons) and an Improved .DLL, this is kegety's .DDL i believe (adds the reflexions and tons of other cool things)

Maybe i over exaggerated, but a lot of people do.

Plenty still play CS, BF, etc..

I've got ther game, bought the Gold edition (OFP/Red Hammer/Resistance) in the bargain bin. Pretty good, I've played the OFP campaign throughout, then I got tired.

I browsed the fansites though, and I can't believe the amount of mods available for it. I didn't know about this .dll thingy, it sounds sweet. I also saw all kinds of cool skins and weapons, makes me want to try it one more time.

What's the skinny on OFP mods? Are they multiplayer only or an you use them in singleplay? How do you get them working? Can you activate more than one at a time? I'm quite familiar with Ghost Recon mods, does it work in a similar manner?

This question cannot be answered in a single post, but I'll try.

All mods and addons should work in multiplayer if the server and other players have them. Some addons have certain scripts and may not work properly in multi.

Yes, you can activate multiple mods at the same time however, it depends on which mod it is.

So, how do you guys do it? You script missions for every addon unit you use? Or do they come packaged with some missions/campaigns?

see.....my ofp looks NOTHING like that. Sub par graphics, doensn't seem to run well...but I have a computer bought new 2 years after the game was released with a geforce 4
