Double Shot of Requesto: Brady Campaign Wants Starbucks to Stop Allowing Guns

The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence has Starbucks in its sights (http://www.bradycampaign.org/legislation/gunlobbybacked/opencarryguns). The D.C. gun-control organization is demanding that the corporate coffee giant ban gun owners from carrying a firearm into any Starbucks coffeehouse.

Yes, because over 9000 murders were committed last year by latte drinking, concealed carry permit holders.

Why Starbucks? Did they just spin a wheel? How about ask Borders to stop them or Grandma Delilah's Corner Bakery? And how do they propose to enforce the banning of concealed firearms? Metal detectors at the door? The Brady Bunch fell off the deep-end a long time ago, and they don't have any credibility left. Starbucks will just ignore them.

That being said, these Open Carry nut-jobs are freaking stupid as well. There's a big difference between a guy wearing hunter orange walking down the road with a 12 Gauge on his arm and some pot-bellied mustachioed retard walking around with a camo-holster and a large frame handgun on his thigh. It doesn't even make tactical sense, because a mass-murderer is gonna determine the open-carrier to be the biggest threat, and just shoot him first. It draws unnecessary attention. I'm all about the 2nd Amendment and my own CCW, but I always say, hide the piece to keep the peace.

I wish the Brady Campaign would have the cojones to ask the NRA Museum the same.

I doubt that they get many people carrying, except for the personal body guards of rich people.

I think because of the rich sweet sugary latte causes people to jump up and act all hyber and maybe pull out their guns.

But what legal gun owner would want to go to Star****s anyway?

Starpucks is full of lapping latte losers.

I think a gun-toter, probably a Fed (they flock to Starbucks, making six figures and all), cut in front of some Brady staffer in line who got skeered when they saw their gat.

Of course the Brady people could start their own un-gun friendly coffee store - this is America after all - that caters to hoplophobes (as Col. Cooper referred to them). I'm sure it would be super successful.

There's a Starbucks right across the street from where I work, and although I'm not a huge fan of their coffee, it's often the only place I can get a cup o' joe. Especially on the weekends.

Fvck the Brady Campaign.
