Ok, I`ve been doing a little walk around lately, and found those two cases in the middle of nowhere in the Neguev desert.

One seems to be a 30mm shell case, probably from a plane, and the other I would guess a 7.92 mauser.
Maybe you guys could know more :D

the two shells with a 7.62 NATO for size scaling

I think I am correct in saying that the big belted staright-sided cases are for the 30mm DEFA/ADEN aircraft cannon - this was fitted to Mirage, Hunter and other aircraft.

I think the IAF replaced 20mm cannon on its Skyhawks with 30mm DEFA.

Are Mirage, A4, Ouragan, Mystere, and Super Mystere spent 30mm DEFA casings ejected overboard?

I wouldn't have a clue.....

I have no idea, what I know is that I found this one on a plateau not far from the egyptian border, the plateau, or rather the erg was pretty flat so I took a look and strolled around to see if there was any other shell, or sign, but to no avail.

As for the 7.92 mauser, (that`s still my guess), I found it on a hill top overlooking the dead sea, not far from the green line.
Thise one was "alone" too, but had obviouly been there for a while.

If you have a ruler, MEASURE the casings and diameter of the projectile. You can take this info and very easily find out for yourself with a Google search.
