View Full Version : Need help finding Vietnam Pattern Tiger Stripe Cordura

I've been googling the sh!t out of it for the past year without results, so I'm turning to you gear whores for help.
Tiger Stripe Products is out because they have a print minimum of 4000 yards for cordura fabrics. I only need 10-15 yards. (I don't want to outfit a division FFS)
Diversitex is also out, as they no longer carry it. (even though their god damned web page for it is still up and the girl answering the phone was a cvnt about it).

Why? You may ask...Because I feel like it. And it works really great here in the densely wooded mountains of NM for hunting. And of course the "cool factor" I'd be the only one with it and I could then rule the world.

I would like to aquire the following weights:
1000 D non-coated
500 D coated
70 D (1.9 oz) urethane coated ripstop polyester

10 to 15 yards of each

I don't care where it's produced, as long as it's Vietnam pattern (like tiger stripe products pattern)

If you can hook me up, I'll let you bang my sister...or I'll send you a bitchen pack or bag
made from it. (first guy to find it) I have found a professional seamster to fabricate for me.

I have faith in you boys.

Thanks for any help

I thought I might have some faded unis left. Don't know where they are, all I could find was woodland pattern. If I do , I won't fit in them now and I doubt even a M'yard would. (I was a skinny sh*t a long time ago)

Thanks much for trying, but I need it in Cordura as stated above.

I would like to aquire the following weights:
1000 D non-coated
500 D coated
70 D (1.9 oz) urethane coated ripstop polyester

I can find tons of cotton ripstop and poly blend no problem.

I dont go near Tiger Stripe Productions after they took 9 months to send a ACU cut set in BDU colors.

Didnt Eagle industries offer TS Cordura bags and pouches?

good luck, migh as well look for ERDL

I don't know what the deal is with TSP other than having to aquire a license to use their pattern/material and having to buy a zillion yards per order.
I checked Eagle Industries, but no luck.

Thanks though.
BTW great pick of Richard Boone

A long shot, but try talking to the guys who make the Kifaru Gear stuff.

I know they offer their products in desert tiger stripe, so they may be able to hook you up with their supplier who may also have access to the "woodland" tiger stripe cordura.

Or, I found these guys:
http://www.diversitexinc.com/cc.htm

And these guys, but thanks to the filters at work I can't verify it (but, a lead's a lead, and you can check it out):
http://www.tacticalconcealment.com/pd_jungle.cfm

Hope that helps. I'll keep digging around for you.

Kifiru discontinued their desert tiger pack and don't carry VN tiger stripe. Their supplier is TS Products, 3000 yard minimum for authorized manufacturers only.

Diversitex is out as well. They no longer carry their line of camo cordura.

Tactical concealment used to carry a momba suit in woodland tiger but it was made from Promax. A very light weight material.

Bummer, more dead ends.

But I really do appreciate you guys taking the time to help me search. You guys are awesome! Thank you.

I don't mean to seem ungrateful for your attempt to help, but as I stated in my first and fourth posts, Diversitex is out. I have already called them and they no longer carry their line of camouflage corduras.
But thank you anyway for trying alexishere2007. I appreciate your effort.

I totally skipped over the Diversitex in your original post. My bad.

I know I've seen it floating around on the asian manufacturing sites, I dunno how current, tho...I'll try to look around and see if I can find them again.

They'll only deal with authorized manufacturers unfortunately. I called and they don't have the fabric in house. They only order it when said manufacturer wants 3000-4000 yards.:|

You have the wrong pattern in mind. You may just have to settle for woodland.

Unless you want to dye some ABU fabric.

Try emailing some companys that make products out of the fabric to see if you can get any ideas on where to get it. Here is one, but the closest they use is khaki tiger stripe.

I found these guys who are a paintball company that use Vietnam Pattern Nylon for their own custom equipment...

I emailed them yesterday but I've gotten no reply as of yet. I'll let you know if I do get one.

They do have a customer service phone number, too, and you may be able to get a better response from them than I did:

http://www.valken.com/

If you look in their paintball section you'll find the gear they make I'm talking about...

Long shot, but with the PITA you're getting from looking, it never hurts to try, you know?

I was checking out those guys yesterday morning. It's the right pattern, but when you zoom in you can see that it's ripstop poplin with cotton tape edges. They don't state the materials anywhere...at least I couldn't find them.
Thanks again though knight, it's very cool of you to keep looking. I appreciate it very much. I'll give them a call anyway though just in case.
