the outcome would be more less the same as today in Iraq.. you would loose in the matter of weeks but the bloodshed would last for long. Serb army is not that good.. After so many years of irregular warfare (Yugoslavian wars were mainly irregular.. no combined forces, no air support, lack of cohesive force) and a regular and prefectly trained army would cut through to Belgrade in very short time.. especially that there would be a fight on 3 or 4 fronts (north - Hungary, east Romania, south - Albania, west Bosnia) on which NATO forces would advance. With complete air superiority, bad weather advantage and everything else.

Actually loosing Kosovo war was equally as good for your nation as loosing Falklands/Malvinas for the Argentinans.. it forced reform, and at the end of the day it was the begining of the end for dictators.

I've been to Serbia around 1988 and it was a bloody rich country compared to Poland.. and you had this great Autobahn to Nis (AFAIR) Nationalism and civil wars made you very but very poor. Look at Slovenija.. it is the richest country in Central and Eastern Europe.. Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia could have been like that.. except in their case a few idiots pushed the whole great and proud nations down the declining slope of war and anarchy..

As i remember Yugoslav Army was preparin for full invasion on Serbia with main atacks comming from Hungary Croatia and Bosnia executed by NATO ground forces and diversionary atacks from Albania and Macedonia conducted by KLA with NATO air support

I agree. You should be on your best behavior Apocalypse. You bring nothing to this forum in terms of either knowledge (you haven't demonstrated any that I can see), insightful discussion (sorry "I triple dog dare you" does not fit this bill), or the ability to lurk and add input when you can. The JNA was absolutely inefective to afront a serious war.
Serb Army and paramilitary, were distinguished as mass murderers of unarmed or weakly armed persons.
The proof is the operation Balkan Storm.
After Croatia received great military help form Gemany, and followed a clever way, improving their arms (for example, they used old 155 mm cannons, but bought new proiectiles from Ukraine, modern and with gretaer range of shooting, and especially created a very good communications system with the help of Israelian and East German specialists), so became at the same level of JNA, they kicked they asses very hard.
The fact is that JNA soldiers didn't feel this war as own, croats were fighing for their homes so were more determinated, tha paramilitaries of Arkan, Sesejl, Freny's boys and other indecent **** were everything but not courageous soldiers, played the Croat game.
The serbs were winned, the Croatia became free.

Well, I understand that it may be hard for you to accept all facts from the past but the time has changed ... VSCiG become soon a real partner of NATO, your officers and soldiers study at the military academies of NATO members. Start to be European nation, not Asian one ...
