I've just been wondering what Israel has got up it's sleeve to deal with those dirty rotten Hammas dudes. I've heard of SM and Unit 269 but none others.

YAMAS and YAMAM are the only other two that I know of. Both seem to be very high speed units.

Sayeret MATKAL (Unit 767). For some really good info (although his English is a little rough) check out www.isayeret.com
He's go an extensive photo gallery and video section also. :backhand:

Except for Matkal there were also sayeret GOLANI (If you are an arab, pray allah not to meet those guys - they will eat you alive and spit your balls out) and some other sayarot which "helped around" but the main team who broke into the terminal was sayeret matkal.

Any infantry brigade has its own elite unit - called Sayaret. The Sayaret are usully deals with CT but due to 3 years of war against Palestinian terror even regular infantry-soldiers have aquired some CT capabilities.
As for the main SF\CT units:
SAYARET MATKAL - the elite military unit. Expert at hostage rescue, intelligence gathering and covert operations.
SHAYETET 13 - The Israeli Navy commando unit. Expert at naval covert ops and seacrafts take-over in CT. Also skilled in commando raids to arrest terrorist.
YAMAM - The elite police CT unit. Expert at hostages rescue and take-overs.
YASAM - The police unit for crowd control and handling hard cases of civiil disorder and riots.
SAYARET DUVDEVAN - The paratroopers elite unit. Expert at covert operations in Arab and Palestinians cities and in raids to arrest terrorists.
LOTAR EILAT - the police CT unit in the south of Israel.
