Dude I am a husband and a father of a <1 year old daughter. When I am in public with women, I always pay. Granted they are not girlfriends per se, but the same principle applies. In fact, I basically just always pay. :D

I try to pay for everything, but there are times when the woman is so insistent to pay that I let her. But when I'm the initiator of a date, I pay. Girlfriends -- I pay, unless, as stated above, she demands to pay.
