USAF B-52 : "Tower this is a B-52 for a low pass..."

Tower : " Did not copy your last transmision. Did you say a C152 for a low pass? "

You guys hear about the civilian jet (I think an RJ) that landed at Ellsworth AFB in South Dakota by mistake? (Very secure B-1 facility) The ATC told the pilot to make everyone shut their window blinds and they had HMMWVs with SAWs come and intercept it on the ramp. (This happened at night but is still no excuse. Needless to say the pilot lost his job)

Yeah, and apparently it wasn't the first time as that military field is close to a large regional hub.

The B-52 managed to find the Sunderland airshow last week on both days, lol.

Actually it wasn't the B-52 crews' fault...

And now the rest of the story... It turns out that the BUFF was under radar vectors. The controller was supposed to vector it down the show runway, but made an error and missed the airfield by a couple of miles. He then told the BUFF to make a 180 degree turn, in the course of which (and given the B-52's rather large turn radius) it flew over the other airfield.
