The City Council of Cadillac awarded a certificate of leadership to the National Socialist Movement (NSM), for participating in a community cleanup.
So offbeat it has to be true but other than the whacky Nazi sites and adl.org I can't verify the story so any of you folks in this area put some meat into this story.

Kevin Clemments of the NSM's Michigan unit responded, "I don't understand why it's so offensive for us to get together in a community cleanup. That's to let people know, contrary to what the ADL says about us, we're not a violent gang of thugs."
