What exactly is this "new" Jewish Legion like? Do they really get involved in messy situations and do they do other things than just dog related stuff?
Here are some links that I came across while researching a history project...

I have no idea.
But since they are located at Tapuah I guess its a right wing "psycho" thing...
Unless its a different "Tapuah" that I never heared of.
I've got a question.
I know a lot of israelis came from the USSR and Poland, but what other countries and in what proportions?

Lets deal in immigration first.

As to the New Jewish Legion, its a combination self-defense, consulting, rality tourism thing. Its not wholly approved of by either the Police or IDF, but they're within the scope of the law so far. Its not a militia movement, and they can point out legitimate shortcomings in the army's ability to protect them, hence the increased need for self-defense.
Like Citizen-K sort of said, they appeal to and try to draw from, a specific group of people, who would share their ideological beliefs, and probably have some need to feel they're "doing" something. They're largely but not exclusively American immigrants appealing to other Anglo-Saxons.
