Greek region of Macedonia MIA or KIA(?) in the Blackhawk site

I wonder how Blackhawk has other Greek regions available as Hepirus and Thrace and does not list as an option the Macedonian region which is the LARGEST Greek region.

I send them an email three months ago but no answer or change.


At the same time Fyrom is listed as Macedonia in the countries section.

Now people, the US recognized Fyrom with that name but have a little courtesy at least to recognize a Greek Macedonia who was there thousand years ago before Fyrom.

Not for flaming pls and no discussions about the Fyrom- Greece issue ( which will be rather soon settled as it seems).

don't even bother mate, i rarely (never)accept advice from eastern europeans.they had been under the rule of the soviet union for so long that everything they say is ignorant of current affairs..the world has been a rude awakening to them ..regarding the skopje matter, it is a lost case .everywhere in the internet it is refered to as republic of macedonia.was it that before jugoslavia ?was it that before tito was so deep up their a...s?no.

I am from Prilep, Republic of Macedonia. I don't like to be called skopian. Most "provincials" don't like the people from Skopje (long story).

To refer to the country as Macedonia is wrong and it is The Republic of Macedonia not the geographical region as a whole. Similar to the Republic of Ireland and the actual island Ireland.

The name issue is over the name of the country Republic of Macedonia which is already different to the region or to the province. The name could be further defined to be Northern Republic of Macedonia.

now G3SG1 don't you think that there are moooore important matters for Greece (economical status and possible related social unrest) to take care rather than a matter with a single company (as companies especially in US are of course known for their accurate geographical knowledge...)

lurk a little more on internet you will see that it is not unusual to have maps with austria placed on switzerland, cezch republic at the danemark's place and half of france cities being in fact german ones

Mordoror, there is nothing ''regular'' with maps as you want to believe and certainly with maps that have leaked from foreign govts and other think tanks. There were maps published before the existence of the internet and there were produced by various foreign officials to test the diplomatic ground before major negotiations. There is a major use of various maps in the psy- ops business and you (if you are living in troubled spots like Balkans) should analyze every bit of the puzzle and don't ''advise'' others how to deal with it .
