I don't see how it could be more useful as a bayonet. Sure, I can tell from the pictures that this one might be a useful tool. Please explain!
Any (sharp) knife will be able to penetrate any vest if enough force is applied. Especially if it is kevlar, not reinforced with plates. A knife cuts through the kevlar fibers and a bullet tries to tear them apart. Therefore you will need much less force to cut through a kevlar vest than to shoot through it.
The shape of it is very much made like weapons made to defeat the full plate armors of the 15-16th century warriors - short and roboust. I guess that this bayonet will not break as easily when hitting a hard surface, but it will probably not penetrate a piece of soft armor much (if any) better.
