Detroit -- Monica Conyers didn't like the 37-month prison sentence a judge handed her Wednesday, but it may have been three months lighter than planned.
U.S. District Judge Avern Cohn began the sentencing hearing by saying he had accepted the government's recommendation to consider other bribes Conyers is accused of taking, beyond the cash she took in connection with the $1.2 billion sewage sludge contract the Detroit City Council awarded to Synagro Technologies (http://www.detnews.com/article/20100311/METRO/3110460/1410/Federal-judge-had-planned-stiffer-sentence-for-Conyers#) Inc. of Texas in 2007.
Considering that "relevant conduct" -- crimes Conyers has been accused of but not charged with -- would push Conyers' sentencing guidelines higher than the 30-37 months calculated by the probation department, Cohn said.

Monica is a city councilwoman from Detroit. She is from the same gang as ex-mayor Kwame Kilpatrick. She is also pretty typical for a politician in the D. Thankfully somebody is finally getting their sh@t together in Detroit and booting out or locking up all the kooky dirtbags that run the city of Detroit. Monica is married to a washington politician and Kwame's mother is also a bigshot political figure. These a&&holes and others like them have been keeping Detroit in the mud for a long time, using racism and graft as a way to keep the population divided and down and to line their pockets. Just like her to change her story at the last second when she realised she was going down the river.:lol:

Sorry JP, but she's neither lovely nor a lady. She's had quite the history of being a biatch and a major reason why the D. is such a sh*t hole. Here's a good video of her getting owned by an 8th grader. They outta make her step down and give that kid her job b/c the kid is way more mature....hell replace the whole Detroit city council with all those kids. They couldn't do any worse!

BTW, I don't think that's her picture. Too much of an improvement to be her. You know what they say, "you can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig".....and in this case very literally!
