Anyone know a good supplier or retailer?
Whats the $$ I'm looking at.

I'm willing to drop around 10,000 USD.

Just want em. Would be nice to have in the Summer when I'll be out for days in the country with friends on hunting trips.

Well I got some cash saved up and I can't really figure out what I want more. Thermals + NV
or a brand spankin Yamaha R6 :/

Think of it this way, which one do you think will pull more birds, the R6 or thermal goggles?

Get the R6.

Or search for a THALES LiON thermal imager. You might even find it on ebay.

I don't typically have a problem when it comes to that anyway...

but you're right it would be fun in the summertime. Seems like an obvious choice but there... is a problem though, which is storage. I live in the city where it's cold and percipatating for 3/4 of the year.

No FOOKin way, i cant believe that there was a lion-sight on ebay. That really fookin riles me. that is a well good piece of gear which is serial numbered. Thats like selling a weapon system fur chr%sts sake. I hope the seller got a visit from the MOD's finest.

There was another LiON for sale from Denmark for ca. $12,000 and on the description box it said "ex MOD (UK)".

This guy from Denmark sells quite a lot mil-spec stuff

Just really riles me that kit that is required in theatre is found on EBAY. We needed lion sights 2 years ago but were told there was none to be had for our role.

I'd hate to see who brought that - some times I really wonder what goes through peoples heads when they sell milspec thermal vision kit. Fvcking hell, that could make its way to Afghanistan and be used against UK troops FFS.

Disgusting.

Aye I do indeed. Would serve the bastard right too. A few months in Colchester if still serving, and if not, civvie jail for the ****. Shiny kit syndrome is one thing, life threatening sale of hi-tech vision gear is another.

And of course, they will be just as interested in who has bought it.

Exactly that. Gen3 NVGs, red-dot or holographic sights, FLIR cameras sold via Internet, I mean it is getting extremely out of control.

The Slovakian link I posted at least requests identification.
