Hi All,

I've been reading this board for years and registered some time ago, but, since my politics run a bit to the left of CaliforniaJoe, I've been reluctant to post until now.

As most of you may know, the father of Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder has been ordered by the court to pay the legal fees for Westboro Baptist Church after his verdict against them was struck down on appeal.

So if your a left nutter please explain this situation you find yourself in asking for money...like whoe is the serviceman , and what is up with the father ?. If it's one of those left nutter churches that protest at funerals of KIA it needs to be advertised...but if it's a lefty nutter wanting money..to hell with it.

If it were my son's funeral, I'd probably snap and put some of those protesters down like I would a rabid dog.....

It ticked me off when they protested Matthew Shepard's funeral. Ticks me off even more when they dishonor Service men and women KIA as they do.
It sucks that Mr. Snyder now has to pick up their legal tab. Talk about adding insult to injury.....

Yeah,that pissed me off as well. All funerals should be off limits. What is the Judges' problem?

I'm certain it's a freedom of speech issue.

Why not stick the protesters into a "free speech zone" well away from these funerals? Like they did at G.W. Bush's first inauguration.
That way, you could keep them well out of the way while not trampling their right to spew bile.......
