I looked at some of the sites listed in another thread, and some of the prices are hard to beat. Anyone have experience buying guns off the net? Can anyone recommend a good, trustworthy site too purchase them?

Gunfinder used to be a good place for most firearms, but they seem to have gone out of business. Give http://www.sportingarms.com/ a try.

Yeah I bought magazines off gunbroker before. Havent bought firearm yet....those prices are very hard to beat. Maybe make a drive to one of the stores and just buy it there.

I've never bought off the net. Reviews are mixed.

Some of the collectors I've read on another forum are happy, some unhappy.

There do seem to be places with a good rep and places with a bad rep though.

Not above doing a little digging myself if you are interested in something particular.

I could at least bounce it off guys on another forum that might know.

If you could find something online whre the shop was close enough to drive to, that would be good.

What you can do, and I have done, is to find a price online, print out the page and then go to your local gunstore to see if they can match the price. More often than not if they can't match the price at least they can come down some from their original price.

I've gone to Davidson's (http://www.galleryofguns.com/) to find prices on Bushmaster rifles before, and that's not the only firearms they distribute, so...

Thanks for the help everyone. That sounds like a good idea, do gunstores usually do that? I found a carbine for like 629 bucks, i doubt they can match it.

Gotta remember, if they're the only gunstore within 100 miles they can tell you to take a walk as they know you'll be hard pressed to find the gun anywhere else without some leg work.
