This is a thing I have been thinking about for a long time, Can you switch side on the ejection port from right to left or is designed to be just on one side??

You can do it with a Steyr- there's a hole on each side, one is usually covered, just switch it over, then change the bolt to a left handed one.

Can the FAMAS be switched as well by just switching over the cheek rest, or is it more complicated than that?

You must also change the side that the brass is ejected, IIRC by moving the extractor

You have to pull the bolt out and switch the extractor to the other side, this can be done in 60 seconds.

Not sure if that's a typo or you just didn't know, but it's spelled, "Bullpup"
the P90 (if it were made for a rifle) and the F2000 both have interesting ejection systems for bullpup.

Depends on the rifle. Some like the FN P90 ejects the shells thorugh a bottom opening. Others like the Keltec RFB eject the spent shells through a sleeve that run to the front of the rifle and then fall from there. What specifc rifle are you talking about?

Depends on the rifle basically. In some yes (eg the Steyr) others no (L85)
And that Mosin Nagant looks like something from Mass Effect...
Its possible on the Tavor too.

Somewhat kinda reminds me of those super precision air rifles.

The Steyr AUG can switch ejection ports so lefties like me don't have to eat hot brass.

Not so easily as the Famas or AUG...You need the required parts to do so. Usually the Weapon tech in the Army is designated to do it.

more complicated,
You have to do a complete stripping of the bolt assembly and switch the extractor side, all in all a 5 mins operation.

60 seconds????
did you try it, or did you believe the instructor?
If the extractor is new and has not taken the bent it usually does after some firing (then it won't fit properly on the other side), you still have to disassemble the tete de mickey, reassemble it, and reassemble the rifle before a check, let say that I may be a bit slow, and not super duper commando, and have tried the change only twice, but it took me a while more than 60 seconds.
