there are 100s of recent pictures of different French units doing mountain training in the CIECM or "Centre d'Instruction et d'Entrainement au Combat en Montagne". Loads of pictures of equipment (snow shoes...) too.

The yellow links on the left of the page are the access to the different topics.

"Tir" means shooting, or "combat" for combat training and so on.

you will see the different mountain qualification badges of the FR Army.

Foreign units from many different countries incluyding the UK or India for example come to train with the FR Army in the Alps, especially at the EMHM, or high Mountain Mi!itary School in Chamonix, at the foot of the Mont Blanc, Europe's tallest mountain at 4,807 metres.
