PETA Stages Vegetarian'Love-In' in Idaho
BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals staged a 'Live Make-Out Tour' on Friday to promote vegetarian eating.

The event - in which a scantily clad couple make out in a bed set up on a city sidewalk - is meant to demonstrate PETA's claims that vegetarians are better lovers, PETA spokesman Ravi Chand said.

Additional activists were to pass out information about the health benefits of vegan living.

A city spokesman gave the OK for the couple to canoodle because they were making a political statement.



"The city welcomes public discussion on important issues and this is certainly an important issue to some," said Michael Zuzel, spokesman for Mayor Dave Bieter. "As long as they're not obstructing the sidewalk or creating a public nuisance, they're fine."

Though both the city and the state have public indecency laws, Zuzel said he did not believe the demonstration would violate them. Besides, he said, political events are given more leeway in the rules.

How do I tell if something is photoshopped? I'm no expert with computers. The sad thing is, there ARE people who do things like this (and much worse) to animals in real life. I'm glad to hear it's a fake.

If you've ever used a Dust Buster you would know that those things aren't nearly powerful enough to do anything that would hurt.

I use gimp 2 for god's sake :) .... Photoshop or not it is disguting, esspecialy I know few child-monsters who made very cruel things to their pets, killing included... Such photos doesn't help.. I consider them graphic and would be nice if they would be threated like that.

Torturing animals is bad, we all know that. Anyway, I think PETA is getting desperate for attention, some of the stuff they do is just ridiculous and has nothing to do with saving animals. And throwing red paint on people with furs or leather? Lock 'em up for assault and destruction of property. Some of the stuff they do smacks of terrorism.
