I was surprised as heck to find the following pix on one US agency site. So I decided to offer you a game. Who can guess who these guys work for.
Let me tell you who they are not.
They are not military, FBI, CIA, ATF, DEA. I just do not want this to be a long game.

THEY'RE POTATO MONKEYS FROM THE SIMMERING JUNGLES OF EAST ANGLIA!
They are really airsofters and some moron in the government thought they looked cool so they put pics of airsofters up to represent the real deal without even thinking...........Its so damn stupid, I'd bet a thousand dollars Im right! LOL
I mean check that pic of the dude with the movie star hair and glasses and sleaveless shirt coming out of the water with an MP-5...I mean if that doesnt scream bull**** then I dont know what does......His hair looks like he just got back from a meeting with Videl Sassoon, not like he just swam 10 miles to shore from a submarine he locked out of........UGH.
Honestly, Im surprised nobody said airsoft before me...I mean, just because the pics link to an official webpage sure as hell doesnt mean they are pics of real troopers....I have seen it done before where news crews and agencies just scan the net and choose the coolest looking pic to represent a "navy seal" or "green beret" and half them time I recognize them as airsofters.....LOL
No they are US Customs SRT

I saw some sort of customs SWAT team in Williston, ND. Not the most impressive bunch of operators I've ever seen lol. In fact they were just coming back from MC-E-DEES boarding their KingAir.

Long time viewer, first time poster.
Legacy Customs SRT. More than likely SRT SAC/Miami. BORTAC only applies to the BP guys, not Legacy Customs. Both are very good at what they do, which is mainly serving dope warrants. And yes, amphibious operations are in their bag.
SRT/Miami are a good group of guys. I met the team leader and their head of training not too long ago. Fairly highspeed for their type of work.
People have to remember, they are not as specialized as HRT, and very few of the teams are full time, though I know SRT/Miami is. Another thing, HRT has the Bureau bankroll behind it.
And yes, that photo op was obviously staged.
Just for your information Human Shield-
Don't know if anybody has PM'd you on this, but I am familiar with this area. Everything is kinda jumbled now and a complete goat****, so I'll try and lay it out for you as simple as possible.
Everything was pretty much consolidated under DHS and it very little of it makes sense. At least right now, but maybe in 5 years everything will sort itself out.
Legacy Customs Inspectors and Legacy INS Inspectors, along with Border Patrol were consolidated under what is now Customs and Border Protection(CBP). BP is a solid outfit, but has a lot of patronage involved. Plus, if you go that route, get ready to live in less than stellar living conditions (i.e. Aho, Arizona, San Ysidro, California, McAllen, TX, Calexico, CA, Laredo, TX, etc., etc.). You are pretty much GUARANTEED a border station, with little hope of getting out. It's a mess, but not nearly as bad as the other side.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement is a different story entirely. It brought together Legacy Customs Office of Investigations with Legacy INS Office of Investigations, Federal Protective Service, Air Marshals, and Legacy INS Detention and Removal. Customs investigators are widely regarded as being VERY good at what they do(narcotics, money laundering, fraud, child ****ography, illegal arms and strategic investigations, import/export violations). Ask someone who works for the government and ask them who'd you rather have working a dope case-a Customs agent from the border or a DEA agent-and the answer would be the former. The same could be said on money laundering-Customs agents make Bureau guys look like fools on this. INS agents aren't a bad lot. They work hard and do their job-which isn't easy by any means. INS's problem was mainly in its upper management, which was composed of mainly criminals themselves. They misappropriated funds and basically ran the organization into the ground, and, in the process, castrated their agents. Not to mention, the agents were basically stripped of all enforcement authority thanks to Congress turning immigration law into a complete ****ing mess(just ask a Legacy INS guy on how long it takes to get authority for a worksite enforcement operation).
Hope that helped.

One thing for sure about the legacy Customs and ICE agents, they certainly don't suffer from lack of self esteem. :D

THEY'RE POTATO MONKEYS FROM THE SIMMERING JUNGLES OF EAST ANGLIA!
The PMEA was disbanded in 1987 due to the infamous biological attack on West Anglia resulting in a potato famine. Most of the Monkeys were spanked then discharged.
So, those photos can't be the PMEA because the M-4 didn't exist then. Also, the preferred weapon of the PMEA is the spud mortar.
