Yesterday I had a conversation with somebody living in moscow. I asked him about their intelligence service but he isn´t interested in this area and so he only could tell me that he is called MVD.

MVD is the Russian Innenministerium - Ministry of Interior and they have their own army.

Department of Interior in the US is a totally diffrent animal, people usually get pretty confused when you tell them about the Ministry of Interior.

MVD is closest to the Justice Department in the US.
