Weapons proggersion during WWII

Hi guys

I'm looking for book\s about WWII advancment in weapons and gear during the war, specificly about the grow of US and Japan forces in the pacific and the reasons behind issuing new gear to troop on the field.

IMO the most interesting WW2 developments were done by the Germans. they developed Infra Red sights, corner shot adaptors, ballistic missiles, assault rifles, light anti armour weapons, camoflague pattern uniforms, as well as Infantry and cavalry tactics and equipment we still use today (slightly modified).

I have a healthy respect for their kit advances, as they kick started alot of our development programs in the west.

nope, not my interest, obviously not much help then eh? got to admit after I posted that I kept on searching and the choice for what you want specifically is very thin, good luck on your search.
