Well my friends have finally convinced me to come out to some airsoft games.

That being said, I need a weapon. Looking for either an AK-74, AKS-74U or M4 model.

I have no ideas whats good or bad on the market but know I want the rifle to be realistic in weight and handling...needs to be electric and genuine metal parts, not cheap plastic.

My budget is $150, but would like to get something cheaper.

Thx for the help!

well if you've a good retailer or a friend that can fix aeg's you can pick up a ak74 dboy.....they're cheap and pretty good:)
i've just bought one after a little "clean" up works superok:)

JG or Jing Gong make decent metal AKs also. For that price range your choices are used or Chines clone guns. Echo 1, JG, and DBoys, are all decent guns, I have owned M4/416 styles in all those brands and am totally sold.
Also remember magazines and eyewear are also something you need to budget for and dont cut corners there.

Good luck hope you enjoy.

For AK's I'd recommend anything CYMA over JG or DBoys.
