ID This glasses

A guy came into my store and told me that my manager told him these were WW2 goggles. What are these goggles? They seem to fold in an odd way. Can someone detail me on this?

They look to be some type of polar or desert sun glasses. I'm not much help. Sorry.

They could also be a "metal working" glasses. Some were issued to AAF fellows as a safety glasses when pouring metal.

Early safety glasses. Not for welding or the like . Just industrial safety glasses. Like what Scott said.
