View Full Version : What song did you wake up thinking about?

I usually wake up thinking of some song 'er other. I don't know why, I just always have. I also write songs in my sleep - music and lyrics -(honest to God) and have tried to write them down as soon as I wake up (otherwise I forget them). I play guitar & record some...so I guess it's because of that.
Anyhow - sometimes the songs I think of are cool (AC/DC, Tenacious D, Rush, Metallica ...whatever) - and many times quite lame.
For instance, this morning I woke up thinking of the theme from the old cartoon "Go Go Gophers" (as I remember it anyhow..)
Two little Indians, all others gone
Two little Indians, left all alone
No buffalo to ride, no tribe to lead
What can they do for fun?
whugabugalbmlaha*
Go Go Gophers - watch 'em go go go
Go Go Gophers - watch 'em go go go
Here comes the Colonel, with his Sergeant
Both are a roarin' and a chargin'
Go Go Gophers - watch 'em go go go
Go Go Gophers - watch 'em go go go
*this gibberish was the cartoon's producers' interpretation of Native American language. Not very flattering.

Whugabuga blablblgag. Him say: "My deepest apologies to both the Native American and Gopher communities".
If any of you get into heated online arguments with me, feel free to bring up the fact that I wake up thinking of crap like this. It's enough to make me question my sanity.
So what song was playing in your head this AM?

Avalanches. There cool. Havent heard them in a long time though.
And sorry for not being able to spell ohh great one.
My point wasn't about your spelling (Although now you bring it up you did spell Metallica wrong) but the fact that the song isn't called "Enter the Sandman" but is "Enter Sandman".

My alarm clock buzzed @ 6 AM blaring Maroon 5 - She Will Be Loved. This song is officially stuck in my head. Oh well, at least it beats the music from the Cure concert I went to last night, ugh.

Oh crap, just thinking of that song gets it stuck in my head all day. It's almost as addictive as the theme of I Dream of Jeanie.
Today I woke up thinking of Sasquatch by Tenacious D
There were these scientists
tryin' to figure out the Sasquatch riddle
then they figured out it was a missin' link
In Search of Sasquatch
that was a kick-ass "In Search of"
with Leonard Nimoy kickin' out the jams...heeah!
"Hurt" by Johnny Cash. I heard it late last night while half drunk, woke up at 6am this morning and it was still in my head.
