A Canadian Forces (CF) CH-113 Labrador search and rescue helicopter sits at its new home at the Canadian Aviation Museum prior to a ceremony marking the retirement of the helicopter fleet after 41 years of active service. The aircraft, Labrador 111301, was the first Labrador to enter service with the CF and the last to retire.

Fifteen CH-149 Cormorant helicopters were purchased in 1998 to replace Canada's fleet of Labrador helicopters. The Cormorant has already assumed its operational role as Canada's primary search and rescue helicopter.
