Gentlemen please let me know how valid information on these links
I red about problems with M 16 but do not know about this kind problems with M-4 in Afghanistan

yea, an ak would shoot through dirt, but it can't shoot the broadside of a barn b/c their iron sights suck

I'd say it's a similar argument made after the M16 was originally fielded in Vietnam without cleaning kits.
Keep 'em clean, run 'em wet and there isn't a problem ..

Caliber is another thing entirely.
Even the USSR reverted back to the AK-47 after initially issuing the AK-74 for A'stan ..
