D-Day anniversary commemorated
“They put an end to the evil, to the Nazis and fascists in Europe, and by doing so guaranteed the freedoms that we take for granted today,” Toronto’s Deputy Mayor Joe Pantalone said, explaining why the city stages the annual event.
