It has the best and most realistic car chase scene, beliveable characters and great plot that leaves a lot for the viewer to work out (what was in the case, who was with who, what happened to Spence, etc).

A question: why did Sean Bean leave? I don't think he was SAS at all: the way he walked right into the ambush, the way he "sprayed and prayed" with the MP5K (and didn't hit any bad guys) and his stupid sniper tactic. Sam (De Niro) proved he was a fake because he couldn't answer the boat house question.

PS: there is no boat house at Hereford.

I say it's the same contents as the one in Pulp Fiction. Now, what was in the case in Pulp Fiction?

The movie Ronin rocks! Deniro i think is pretty good in the movie. I think this is the only movie out there that has a car chase scene going AGAINST traffic!! I don't think anyone can beat that.

To Live And Die In L.A. has a chase against traffic (for part) that was pretty good.

Best chase still goes to The French Connection IMHO, with honorable mention to Bullit.

"It's a Mad Mad Mad World" has the best car chase scenes with "Blues Brothers" a close second.

Hard to beat a car chase that features an Audi S8....

The AUDI S8

Yet another beautifully executed power meets luxury symbiosys, the Audi S8 packs enough punch to induce sweat into the most able Honda S2000 driver. The S8 uses the same all-aluminum space frame and Quattro all-wheel drive system as the A8. It is also equipped with an aluminum sports suspension, 13.6 inch (345.44mm) vented disc brakes up front with 11 inch (279.4mm) discs in the back, aluminum Brembo calipers all around and 18-inch Avus alloy wheels surrounded by 245/45ZR18 tires, features not found on the A8.

The engine is still a 4.2 litre V8 unit but has been revised for a 60 horsepower increase in output over the base model while providing 20 more horsepower than its predecessor. Lowered suspension settings by 20 mm (0.8 inch), 30 percent stiffer spring rates, 40 percent more compression damping in the shock absorbers combined with thicker stabilizer bars provide the extra grip and hadling balance (0.88g on the skidpad vs. 0.77g for the A8) but add up to a harsher ride. The steering is light, perhaps too light at high speeds, but the S8 is still more agile than its most obvious competitor, the Merc S55 AMG. Safety features found on the S8 include the electronic differential lock (EDL) which uses brake intervention to provide a targeted force distribution to the wheels with the greatest degree of traction, the ESP electronic stabilizer program, ASR traction control, ABS brakes and a total of 8 airbags.

While a six speed manual transmission is available for European customers, the North American market, which only receives about 30 cars per year, will only get the five-speed Tiptronic automatic. Exterior differences from the A8 are hard to spot but they include the chrome door mirrors, a chrome-lined air intake, the exclusive-to-the-S8 wheels and the red and silver motor sport emblems on the grille and rear of the vehicle.

On the inside, luxury is aplenty, with soft nappa leather, heated mirrors, power everything, cruise control, solar panel glass sunroof, system and navigation computer, remote security system with alarm and immobiliser, electric rear sunblind, a nearside mirror that tils down in reversing, a 10-speaker BOSE sound system with CD stacker and numerous other features. And the performance? Well, the S8 accelerates to 100 km/h in about 6 seconds and continues to a top speed of 250 km/h. Not too shabby, especially considering the absolute bargain price.

What was in the case .. p-)

If you listen during the credits there is a news broadcast that mentions a new peace treaty of sorts between the Irish and the Brits (If I recall correctly) and many people surmise that that is what was in the case

Kinda silly, like comparing apples and oranges really....

Considering the S2000 is a 2 litre.........and certainly no V8........

But yeah the S8 is a sweet car regardless of silly comparisons. And the movie was great. WAY better than that piece of tar Paycheck.

I hope your joking. Paycheck was ****.

Ronin was great. Certainly realistic, I dont think Ive seen a movie where so many inoccent bystanders are killed by stray gunfire.

For care chase I'd have to go with Bullitt(the rearview mirror bit rocked!) for the Ford fans

and Vanishing Point.....for MoPar addicts

As far as action movies go...while I thought Ronin was good...I'd have to go with either:

Heat

True Romance

The scene between Deniro and Pacino was a let down to an otherwise great flick.......but the scene between Walken and Hopper just rocks......

PLUS in True Romance the 3 basic rules of any good action movie are adhered to:

Clarence walks away with:

1.) The Girl
2.) The Money
3.) The Car

And he gets to wear a cool pirate eyepatch as a souvenir ;)
