First off, I hope IŽam posting this on the right forum section.

I+ am building some Super Hornet scale models right now and have some Questions:

1.) When the Super Hornet is parked on the flight deck, are they parked with the Flaps down or up?
2.) Are they allways tied down with chains on the gear and on the tie down points on the wings or are the wing tie downs only used in rough seas? (Pictures of the wing tie down would be great)
3.) Are the additional tanks used on the centerline pylon and on the wing pylons the same or are there different models?

Thanks for your help!

When the jet is powered down, the flaps, ailerons, and horizontal stabs automatically come to the down position. I know for the F-15s the ailerons are that way as well.

Until a sailor can confirm, there is only one model. Well, only one model I worked on. The smaller ones you may see are the personal cargo pods. These pods are more common with the USAF when their pilots/WSOs deploy and put their personal items in them. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen USN aircraft with the cargo pods.

Thanks for your help!

This should help you out. (My answers in bold)
