Okay time to use some imagination...

I know a military intervention by NATO in South Ossetia is very unlikely for the time being (Please to Russians, no flaming, this is just a hypothetical) and am operating under the assumption that RRF would not be ready by this point.

But barring these political limitations, if NATO was to field such a force, what would it look like? What elements of your (NATO state) country would be able to respond to a humanitarian intervention in the region.

I know the American possibilities already; and that a Canadian contribution would be out of the question, but don't know about European member's troop strengths.

I'm especially looking at the Germans and Poles, any thoughts?
Thanks ladies and gents

Very strange constraints. Humanitarian? No US?

well ofcourse NATO and US will be on the Georgian side, oil goes from Arzebadjan throught Georgian to Turkey.

And here oil!!!!!!

plus even Ossetians were saying that OBSE (or whatever that is) showing everything from the Georgian point of view.

But there are already peacekeepers there which managed to keep peace for 12 years, plus South Ossetia is not Adjaria, so South Ossetians fought 12 years ago, and they are going to fight against Georgians :backhand:
