You have guys living in APCs for two to three weeks at a time breathing diesal fumes, with them sweating their asses off in hundred degree heat during the day, then the temperatures drop fifty degrees at night when they are still wearing those same sweat drenched uniforms, they are inhaling sand and dust with every breath. All of this topped off by living/working in a high stress environment, health problems are bound to occur.

Mosquitos, Sand fleas and other biting insects are everywhere in Iraq. I have yet to read that they are checking locals for the same illness. I wish they would check them too, that could give a lot more info since there are a lot more Iraqis than Americans.

Sounds like a dangerous situation... with guys living in such close quarters, a bacterial infection can go through a whole team before the first of them shows severe symptoms... if it's a bacterial thing like some of the doctors seem to think it is.
