Are not some of those pix from the operations involved in salvaging the remains of the Japanese who died in a collision with a SSN?

Also, anyone knows what rebreathers are in the first shot?

This is a picture of a civilian "technical setup". A little more redundant equipment as he doesn't have the backup of the USN.

The pictures of the UWOJUMA are pictures of it after it was hit by the USS Greeneville Nuclear Submarine. While surfacing the submarine hit the boat, looks pretty crazy.
