It's called a Data Matrix code - a two dimensional matrix barcode. A Data Matrix sysbol can store up to 2,300 alphanumeric charactors. I control 70 such readers that reads the Data Matrix code on Solar Cells.

It looks like he's been cruising the forums photoshopping the ID sticker onto guns and asking what it's for. He also slapped it onto a Pimp My gun ".50cal" that he made.

Jesus your excited. If your looking to make your airsoft gun more authentic then don't bother with it. Those stickers get scraped off within a week of the weapon being issued.

Look at it this way, every item you buy has a barcode on it that serves in part as inventory control. Same idea here...

That sticker comes from the inside tag of authentic BDPs, it is a mark of honor because not everyone can own REAL BDPs!
