Amid ongoing tensions in Turkish-Israeli relations, Turkey’s foreign minister held unannounced talks Monday in Damascus with a senior Hamas leader whose visit to Ankara four years ago drew the ire of Tel Aviv.
Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu and Hamas leader Khaleed Meshaal discussed the ongoing internal divisions between two major Palestinian groups, Hamas and al-Fatah, and also reviewed the efforts to revive peace talks between Palestine and Israel, Anatolia news agency reported early Tuesday.

I thought that Hamas was a terrorist organization, like the PKK for example.

Was? According to European Union, Canada, the United States, Israel ofc, Japan and heck, even Jordan - it is.
But then again, It seems that even Nasrallah was invited to Turkey (http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2533461/posts) recently. Wanna ask the same question about the Hizbullah?

Erdogan had rolled a red carpet for Omar al-Bashir, a man charged with counts of genocide... so I can't really say that I'm shocked by this.

Well lovely, Israel-Turkish relationship might as well be dead at this point. I doubt its going to recover from these repeated blows.

Me neither. He should've been expelled a long time ago.

And for this alone Turkey should've been expelled from NATO. If they want to mingle with islamists and terrorists, then they should stop pretending they're a part of the westerned civilized world.

If the majority of turks disagree with Erdogan an his party then they should man up and clean their house. Isn't that what the Turkish military is for? Maintaining the country's secularity in its institutions? What are they waiting for to depose Erdogan?

* Turkey Foreign Minister meets Hamas chief
* Ankara's ties with Israel under strain

ISTANBUL, July 21 (*******) - Turkey's foreign minister met the leader of Hamas this week in Syria, where they discussed how to heal a rift between the Islamist group and rival Palestinian faction Fatah, Turkey's Anatolia news agency reported.

The state-run news outlet did not elaborate on the report, though Hamas' al Qassam website said Turkey's Ahmet Davutoglu and Hamas chief Khaled Meshaal also discussed how to "break the Israeli blockade" of Gaza during their talks.

"Davutoglu affirmed to Meshaal that Turkey will stand by the Palestinian people until the Gaza siege is lifted," a Palestinian politician with Hamas connections told ******* in Damascus on Wednesday.

Instead of having balls, we have this:

Israel to send 4 drones to Turkey
Israel is set to send four 'Heron' drone airplanes to Turkey in August according to military sources in Ankara, Army Radio reported Wednesday.

Because no-one else ever deals with terrorists and war criminals, right?

You are really on crack. This is the world of realpolitik, where your idealism needs to be parked.

List a single state or nation that hasn't dialogued with a single terrorist entity or genocidal regime, and I'll donate my left nut.

We do it, they do it, everyone does it.

If Israel would have invited over PKK leaders, Edrogan would get an aneurysm...

My exact thoughts. I can't wait to see the day they'll be standing in front of the high court judges for their treasons.

Now having said that, Europe's hands are not clean either when it comes to dealing with the terrorists. Most of the pkk administration finds a safeheaven in both, major and minor EU coutries. Some countries' parlemantaries even have official bonds with the pkk administration in their respective countries.

IIRC. Israel doesn't even list the pkk as an terror org. US is the only western country that seems to be aware of these scums....but Erdo's stance with Hamas is not helping in general.

And for this alone Turkey should've been expelled from NATO. If they want to mingle with islamists and terrorists, then they should stop pretending they're a part of the westerned civilized world.

I'd agree about Turkey leaving NATO and joining another organization..but would not agree with the reason. When the Communists was hated almost more than the Muslims, back in the old times, there were NATO members having pretty cozy relations with the Soviets..nothing happened out in the open, but NATO fixes things like this internally.

It's about time to show everyone who are the majority in the country in a democratic way so there are no doubts of it...so, due to this, military intervention is not an option. They'll be toppeled by the secular majority of the republic....and face a trial.
