last week, when i was in WV i stopped to say hi to the guy i worked for last year...my ex girlfriends father also helped out on the site...anyways the home owner...john asked me to say hello for him...im in the middle of writing my exs father a letter...frankly i feel like throwing up doing this...but john asked me to so i must...anyways...in the past year i burned alot of bridges...mostly with my ex and her family...so i guess here is the point...

should i simply just tell him quick in simple "john says hello"....

or should i try and mend fences and tell him how the whole trip went, whats been going on in the messed up head of old tinny...

thanks

Greg

Just write him a nice and scriptive letter as if you were writing it to your own father. Make it very detailed, and make it 'sound' friendly as if you and him never had that disagreement of the past.

Thne at the end of the letter, write....

By the way <his name>, I still think your a biotch!

Whatever happened in the past is over. And he'd have to be an a-hole not to realize that. Mending fences is always a good idea, and it shows your a good and honourable person. Try saying something simple to him, and tell him how your sorry for any problems you caused. Seeing as i dont know the history of you and this guy im just gonna go out on a limb and say that.
Good luck man. And i hope you make a wise choice with your words.

I wouldn't go into depth about things. Just say hi and ask how things are, no need to get into a deep drawn out explanation.
Why are you even writing this guy? Just curious.

randomly ran into the guys house i worked on last year...poured four yards of concret for a new front porch...my exes father was on the site with me...i was running the site...her father got really close to the home owner...so when i ran into the home owner this year he asked me to say hello...it goes a little deeper then that but its its a hello i think needs to be said...it would mean alot to both people

Yeah, saying hi to someone never hurt. Thats the route I would go and if he feels compelled to contact you afterwards so be it.

I have a front porch that needs to be poured by the way ;) , the original dip ****s who poured it when it was being built let the support wall collapse and the cement dried and looked like shat. So it's a wooden porch now.
