I own an early Surefire 610r handgun light that i've been using on my para (with mods, of course). Has anybody else tried to modify theirs?
I'm not really a fan of LEDs, just think that the the "older" filament gloves are much better to use, especially in penetrating dark car tints and for use during inclement weather.
I've recently modified mine to be a 9-volt system which I will be using with a Surefire P90 bulb. Anyone else tried this? Any comments or opinions?

The LED bulb conversion would be a good way to go, even at getting through a dark tinted window. I run LED lamps from SF on all my P series lights.
The 9V will add more light, but at pistol length engagements the P90 are too bright and some time you will get white wash by the light reflecting back at you from a light color wall in a dark room.
also the longer light body will get a lot of carbon build up from the muzzle blast and i wonder where you will find a holster that will fit this setup.
I let go all my old light set up and got over to the new X300. if you can afford it, it is the way to go.

Thanks for the input. I tried it, and found out that it would lengthen my flashlight too much.
Will just stick with the 65 lumen capacity.
