Exactly, the only way to make a fair judgement would be to compair the USMC with the BRMC (C=commandos, duh!)

This is also why Delta is the best, I mean, look at all the letters in their name! - SFOD-D, CAG

Do not!Nanner!

Don't the BRM do something completely different from USMC?Honest question here.

Or, how about you realize what a idiotic quesiton you are asking? I'm not sure how your thought process works, but there is simply no slate to measure such things by. All of this is a matter of opinion, and the answer largely affected by patriotism. There is just no gauge to judge a Military Force's abillity to succed the other by being 'better'. There are no facts to check to support a agruement of this type, it just won't hold up.

It's worth noting, that the USMC and BRMC's are entirely different orginazations. First, the Commandos are not a entire service, as the USMC is. As I said in another post, it's like trying to compare a entire brigade of 101st Airborne soldiers (15 thousand +) versus a 12 man ODA Special Forces team.

Yes, they are totally different. Just because they share a name does not mean anything at all. RMC's are infact that, Commandos. They try to work in smaller numbers, rather then say a entire devision/brigade as that of the Marines. As to training, being specialized troops, the Royal Marines have a longer and more in-depth course. Infact it's the longest infantry course in the world; 30 weeks IIRC. This does not mean they are inherently better then a US Marine, they have different missions and functions all together.

"obdr is a complete fool (May 26, 2003 21:46 Eastern Standard Time)
The SAS went way further than Delta and Ragners, they are pussies compared to the british special forces. You have seen no where near as much action as them. They have proved time and time again who is the leading special force so shut your mouth and read a few factional non hollywood american crap. You guys just do all your action for the camera so it looks like your the best military and elite. Thats what gets you killed. Your a complete fool obdr, The British Military is ahead of the US military in many aspects so dont just think you have the best of the best. Royal Marines > USMC - SAS > Delta/Rangers The Nuclear Missile system you used was developed BRITISH, so go eat an onion you silly little sh1t!"

"Royal Marines > USMC"

Must be getting slow in my old age. I ignored this as I didn't have a clue what it was about.

Is BRM/BRMC a common abreviation in the US? I've never heard it (other than on this site) in 15 years service.

BTW the correct abreviation is RM.

I had never seen it abbreviated as such untill this post either, Royal. I just used it to avoid confusion.
