I bought a Mosin a month ago and I need ammo for it. I thought about a bulk order of surplus ammo but I need soft point rounds for hunting. Does anyone know where I could get good brass for agood price?

Also, I killed my first archery deer 2 days ago.

Yes.

Buy surplus ammo and shoot it at a target. Brass. Cheap. Thats what I would do.

PM me. I have around 100rds of 230grain FMJ. You could shoot them and reload with soft points if you want.

In the states, you can check out Graf and sons, also Google might help.

Hold off on that surplus buy for reloads. Most surplus ammo is Berdan primed and non-reloadable. Heck, half the time it's not brass but a steel casing with a copper washing. Hollis is correct. Graf and sons is one of the few places that sell Boxer primed reloadable brass. If you can reload it then you can use just about any .308 round assuming your barrel isn't a .311 .

In general, if you're going hunting then look towards the Brown and Silver Bear lines of ammo. They have soft tip ammo and their prices are fairly good. Buy surplus for plinking. I picked up 440rds for $100 from Cheaper than Dirt. But I run Silver Bear for hunting. Hunting ammo is always going to be more expensive. Below is a good start and they sell larger lots if you back up a page. Check around and at Cheaper than Dirt for some ammo deals.

I buy my surplus stuff at JGsales, excellent service.
Just remember to use hot soapy water or windex down after shooting or it will rot your barrel, very corrosive stuff.
Surplus ammo is non-reloadable. That Brown Bear or Silver Bear makes soft points for it, I think Winchester does too, but you will buy modern prices since they are modern hunting rounds. Stick with surplus, bullets of that size more then usually will take a deer down regardless they being soft point or whatever.
