I'm in North Carolina and the local paper ran an article on Blackwater. The contractors look like they are better armed and protected then some of our soldiers. Anyway I'm in no way an expert or pretending to be. Again thanks to all the the US soldiers and our allies.

Good post, but kind of in the wrong forum..... unless of course someone wants to fix this thread by posting a bunch of awesome new pictures of contractors in Iraq? :D

Welcome to the forum
I'm a PSD in Iraq, currently on holiday in Florida, most of these guys purchase their own gear, and it's not cheap, there are all sorts of loadouts being worn in Baghdad, from chest rigs to TAC(V)10 vests, from Khaki to Black..............you name it it's there

I recently worked as a contractor in Afghanistan, and we were as well equipped as the military. Gear was provided to us by my employer.
